So the day after I decided to come out, I wrote this song because I believe that I don't think God gives a...who you kiss.
I think he cares about how you treat them.
[ Cheers and applause ] Imagine...[Chuckles] being a monster to someone your entire life and thinking you're gonna get into heaven because they were the opposite sex than you, you know?
Yeah, I think how we treat each other matters, you know?
And I strive to be the best partner I can be to my partner every day, and I wrote this song about the hope that people would let me live and do that in the way that I wanted to, and it's working so far.
